Our Response to an incumbent complaint regarding their public forum:

This campaign is not about the incumbents. It is about all the citizens of Chagrin Falls Township - those that live in the Village and those that live in the unincorporated area.

Our priorities are to make every tax dollar count so we can take care of priorities like preserving the grand old Township Hall.

As we have stated, we welcome all chances to debate on agreeable dates for all four candidates, in addition to the October 21st event hosted by the League of Women Voters.

The Oct. 6th forum at the Township Hall was booked without our input.

We proposed (not demanded) two dates and they appear to be unacceptable to the incumbents.

Debates are good - let them begin. But let's debate the Township's finances and the condition of Township Hall and not dates and times.

Campaigns can bring out the best and worst in candidates and at times can become too personal. Our intent is to focus on issues like preserving Township Hall, the fiscal relationship with the Village and improving communication with all the residents.

To those ends, we have knocked on hundreds of doors, participated in coffees, created and expanded www.onechagrin.com, and will soon be releasing an initial plan to improve Township Hall.

We can both be reached here or just give us a call. We welcome the input of "all" Township residents!
